Tony Ficarrotta’s practice focuses on representing clients on a variety of privacy and technology matters, with a particular focus on product counseling and providing practical advice about how to navigate the complex requirements of GDPR, CCPA, and industry self-regulatory requirements as they apply to digital marketing and advertising. Tony has experience counseling clients in a broad cross-section of industries, including digital advertising, financial services, software, and retail.
In addition to his privacy and technology practice, Tony maintains a pro bono practice, through which he assists families in obtaining special education services for their children through the Children’s Law Center. He has also counseled non-profit startups through entity formation and on general corporate governance matters.
Prior to joining ZwillGen, Tony was Counsel, Compliance & Policy at the Network Advertising Initiative, the leading self-regulatory organization for digital advertising in the U.S. He was also an associate attorney at Eversheds Sutherland (US), where he served as a member of the firm’s global cybersecurity and data privacy practice group.
Tony earned his J.D., cum laude, from the Duke University School of Law. He also holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Tony is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
