Kelsey Harclerode’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex litigation matters in federal and state court and counseling clients on privacy, security, and consumer protection matters. She helps companies from a wide range of industries, including the software, telecommunications, and social media industries.
Kelsey works closely with clients to understand their goals and risk profiles to help develop strategies for defense of class action lawsuits, response to formal investigations and informal inquiries from federal and state regulators, and compliance with domestic and international privacy and security laws and regulations. She also has a deep knowledge of the legal and policy issues confronting technology companies in the augmented and virtual reality space.
Kelsey maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on the representation of domestic and sexual violence survivors. Kelsey is a certified victim advocate and previously worked in the Crimes Against Women and Families Division of the Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s Eighth Judicial Circuit.
Kelsey previously served as a Fellow at ZwillGen. Following her fellowship, she was an associate director at APCO Worldwide where she provided strategic policy and crisis mitigation advice to technology and financial services companies.
A proud Double Gator, Kelsey received her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and bachelor of arts degrees in Political Science and Women’s Studies from the University of Florida.
