Alexei Klestoff’s practice focuses on representing clients in a variety of privacy, consumer protection, and e-commerce matters through counseling, litigation, responding to FTC and state Attorneys General investigations, and developing compliance programs.
Alexei counsels clients on methods to mitigate legal risks associated with new products and services, with a focus on privacy, advertising, marketing, social media, user generated content, and intermediary liability issues. Alexei also represents clients in complex litigation and regulatory investigations involving false advertising, unfair competition, and privacy claims.
Prior to ZwillGen, Alexei was the Director of Consumer Protection at Walmart Global eCommerce, where he advised the company on mitigating consumer protection and privacy risk across all areas of the business, including advertising, marketing, social media, pricing, gift cards, and regulated products. Prior to that, Alexei was an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he represented clients in a variety of complex litigation, including class action, false advertising, unfair competition, international, intellectual property, and general commercial disputes.
Alexei received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center where he graduated cum laude and earned his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
