Bio

Plamena Gerovska assists ZwillGen attorneys and clients on privacy and technology related matters, including compliance with CCPA, CAN-SPAM, Section 5 of the FTC Act, COPPA, FOIA, and a variety of state laws, advising on EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), ePrivacy rules, and other international privacy laws, drafting Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, IRPs, and vendor contracts.

Prior to joining ZwillGen, Plamena served as a Privacy Analyst at Promontory Financial Group where she assisted companies that are subject to the GDPR and Russian data localization laws. Before that, Plamena spent a summer interning at Ropes & Gray LLP in London where she supported the IP and Data Protection team on issues related to Brexit, EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, and international data transfers. Plamena was also an arbitration and dispute resolution intern at Addleshaw Goddard LLP in Dubai, UAE.

As a student at William & Mary Law School, Plamena was part of the Center for Legal and Court Technology where she participated on a project exploring the legal implications of Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.
