ZwillGen Deepens Information Security Bench and Expands Its California Presence
WASHINGTON, D.C., February 3, 2017 – ZwillGen has added two new attorneys to its Washington, D.C. and San Francisco offices. Alexei Klestoff, former director of compliance at Walmart Global eCommerce and Jason Wool, who was previously an attorney at Alston & Bird.
“We are happy about the talent and experience that we are adding to our team,” said Marc Zwillinger, ZwillGen’s Founder and Managing Member. “Alexei’s experience working in-house at a Fortune 500 company adds insight for clients whose companies are scaling and entering into unfamiliar legal territory. With Jason, we add another experienced cybersecurity attorney who will be able to help clients better secure their customer data and guide the response process in the event of a breach.”
Alexei Klestoff joins ZwillGen from Walmart Global eCommerce where he was the Director of Consumer Protection, advising on privacy risks involving advertising, marketing, social media, and regulated products. Prior to his work at Walmart, Alexei represented clients in complex litigation, including class action, false advertising, and intellectual property. “Navigating customer expectations and regulatory requirements for doing business online can be daunting, especially for in-house counsel who are trying to juggle so many different issues. I’m excited to be able to use my experience to guide ZwillGen clients away from the fray of potential liabilities.”
Jason R. Wool will join ZwillGen’s cybersecurity team having substantial experience working on a wide variety of cybersecurity, cyber risk management, and incident response matters. At Alston & Bird, Jason’s work included helping companies investigate and respond to data breaches and other cybersecurity incidents, develop and expand cybersecurity programs, run tabletop exercises, and assess and mitigate cyber risk. “I am looking forward to working with ZwillGen’s clients to protect themselves against attacks and breaches, as well as to understand and address the unique cyber risks they face. Today’s cyber culture can feel unsteady, but with the right safeguards and structures in place, companies can be ready for whatever comes at them. I love being part of that process.”
