Diversity Lab awards Mansfield Certification to firms that have successfully broadened the talent pool for opportunities within the firm. Our Mansfield Certification “Plus” status further recognizes that ZwillGen has achieved positive results in diversity in a number of leadership roles and lateral opportunities.
The Mansfield Rule is a structured certification process designed to ensure all talent at participating law firms has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership. Mansfield is focused on broadening the talent pool for consideration, including those historically underrepresented in the legal profession, to facilitate transparent pathways to leadership.
The overall goal of the Midsize Mansfield Rule is to increase diversity in leadership pipelines within midsize law firms by broadening the pool of women lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, lawyers with disabilities, and/or underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers who are considered for entry-level and lateral attorney job openings, firm governance opportunities, equity partner promotions, and opportunities to connect with clients.
To achieve the 2022-2023 Mansfield Certification Plus status, our talent team participated in monthly Knowledge Sharing calls with 150+ other participating law firms and Diversity Lab to exchange best practices on fostering inclusive workplaces. The “Plus” designation indicates that we’ve not only taken steps to increase inclusivity in leadership, we’ve made measured progress in doing so. As one of the inaugural firms to join Diversity Lab’s Midsize Mansfield Certification, we’re proud of our achievement and commitment to inclusivity.
