ZwillGen Continues to Grow – Latest Additions Expand Litigation and Information Security Teams

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 16, 2025 – ZwillGen is pleased to announce the addition of former federal prosecutor Laura-Kate Bernstein as a Legal Director on our Litigation team and Jamie Elbert as an Attorney on our Information Security team.

“As technology creates new legal challenges and brings increasing litigation disputes related to traditional criminal statutes with civil causes of action for our clients, these strategic hires ensure we are well-positioned to continue to advance our clients’ interests,” said ZwillGen Founder and Managing Member Marc Zwillinger.” Laura-Kate’s DOJ background strengthens our litigation and government response capabilities, while Jamie’s incident response expertise broadens our information security preparation and response practice.”

Laura-Kate Bernstein joins ZwillGen after more than a decade at the U.S. Department of Justice. Most recently, she was a trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division’s Criminal Section, where she led complex federal investigations and prosecutions to jury trials. She also served as the Criminal Section’s leading in-house adviser on electronic evidence gathering. Her deep litigation experience and government insights bolster ZwillGen’s ability to support clients as they face increasingly novel legal theories and scrutiny in privacy and cybersecurity-related litigation.

Jamie Elbert joins our Information Security practice from the Cyber Team at Constangy Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP where she advised on incident preparedness, breach response, and complex security challenges, and handled scores of breaches in her time there. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States. With her pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach, Jamie’s addition strengthens our ability to help clients anticipate risk, respond effectively to incidents, and build resilient, scalable security programs.

Both attorneys are based in ZwillGen’s Washington, D.C. office.

These strategic additions build on ZwillGen’s continued expansion, following the January group acquisition which added the lawyers, data scientists, proprietary processes, and technology from Luminos.Law LLP, creating ZwillGen’s AI Division.
