About Lucia

Lucia Martinez advises clients on a range of privacy, data protection, and emerging technology issues, with a focus on navigating complex regulatory requirements, and managing data-related legal risks. 

In her law enforcement and civil response practice, Lucia assists technology companies with responding to subpoenas, search warrants, and other legal demands for user information. She advises clients on disclosure obligations under federal and state law, including the Stored Communications Act (SCA).  

Lucia counsels clients on compliance with U.S. and international privacy laws. She also works with companies to mitigate risks associated with acquiring alternative data. 

Lucia previously served as a Fellow at ZwillGen. Before joining the firm, Lucia interned in the Data Privacy and Security Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and worked as a law clerk at Prince Lobel Tye LLP. She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was an ASPIRE Scholar, a Rappaport Fellow, and participated in the BU/MIT Student Innovations Law Clinic. Prior to law school, Lucia managed digital advocacy campaigns at Free Press.
