WASHINGTON, D.C., JULY 23, 2025 – ZwillGen and Luminos.AI announced today the launch of the “ZwillGen Law Library,” a new feature in the Luminos platform allowing clients and customers to automate AI risk assessments and testing based on the expertise of ZwillGen’s world-class AI Division and the Luminos team. ZwillGen clients and Luminos customers will have access to automated and privileged assessments directly within the platform. The ZwillGen Law Library will include automated certifications for data de-identification, bias testing for AI models, and more.
“Companies using AI face constantly changing legal and technical governance hurdles,” said Brenda Leong, Director of ZwillGen’s AI Division, “and they need help to manage their expanding list of AI applications in all phases of business. We support our clients as they build, buy, and engage more AI services, and provide practical assistance for effective oversight and monitoring. The ZwillGen Law Library, provided in partnership with Luminos, is one way to make our experience scalable for companies in an increasingly complex AI landscape.”
This ground-breaking partnership between a top-tier law firm and a software company reflects the growing demand for automated governance as companies continue to adopt AI systems. The partnership also reflects ZwillGen and Luminos’ unique understanding of how companies use and manage AI risk in practice, which requires a mix of automation and in-depth legal knowledge to succeed, as well as the need to protect privileged legal advice regardless of the nature of the platform through which the advice is conveyed.
“I have spent the last decade supporting enterprises adopting AI and struggling to manage its risks,” said Andrew Burt, co-founder and CEO of Luminos. “What I have seen over and over again is that companies need a better way to scale legal oversight for the vast majority of their AI systems. They simply do not have enough time or resources to get customized legal reviews for every AI system. I am thrilled to be able to offer the ZwillGen Law Library to our customers through our platform because it solves this exact problem. The library is the best of both worlds, providing a way to automatically implement legal advice through our platform while allowing legal and risk teams to scale their AI oversight and conserve their time and resources.”
Since its inception, thanks to its unmatched experience, ZwillGen has earned the trust of leaders in AI technology. The firm continues to sustain and build upon its deep knowledge of machine learning, large language models, and other technologies powered by AI through its AI Division and its collaboration with Luminos.
The Luminos platform was built to support companies in automating their AI governance programs. To meet those needs, Luminos offers an integrated suite of tools where lawyers, data scientists, vendors, and others can collaborate to conduct automated impact assessments, test their AI systems for risk, and ensure compliance across hundreds of AI systems in one place. Luminos is an independent technology company born out of Luminos.Law, the first law firm run by lawyers and data scientists. Luminos.Law was acquired by ZwillGen to form the firm’s AI Division earlier this year.
“ZwillGen is committed to producing practical solutions for cutting-edge problems,” said ZwillGen Founder and Managing Member Marc Zwillinger. “The biggest names in technology rely on us to guide them through increased scrutiny surrounding AI, and by partnering with Luminos to launch this feature, we are able to offer our clients a mix of automated technical assessments and legal advice at the scale they need. We will continue to provide legal advice related to individual AI assessments and product launches.”
