We are a boutique internet and technology law firm with a wealth of high-tech clients ranging from early-stage start-ups to household names in the tech industry. We are seeking an attorney with at least four years of tech/data/commercial transactions experience to join our team. The attorney will negotiate and draft a wide variety of agreements for our cutting-edge client base. The attorney also may manage and supervise a high volume of transactional work performed by internal and contract attorneys, in some cases after working with the client and teammates within the firm to develop templates and negotiation playbooks.
The position requires a highly motivated, forward-thinking individual with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment. Although we achieve national accolades (e.g., Law360’s recent Practice Groups of the Year for Privacy and Consumer Protection), we’re not BigLaw: we want attorneys who share our creative and efficient team-oriented approach to clients’ needs, and who can serve as a valued strategic counselor — not simply bill hours. In-house experience is valued; part-time schedules may be accommodated for the right candidate; more experienced attorneys are valued and welcome.
This position is available in our D.C., New York City, San Francisco, or Chicago offices. Candidates must be barred in the jurisdiction in which they will work.
Candidates should write and communicate well, be able to think strategically and assess risks, and be comfortable working under tight deadlines that clients sometimes impose. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently manage projects, interact with clients, and work effectively as a team member.
