ZwillGen Bolsters Law Enforcement Team, Welcomes Former Oath Attorney Chris Madsen

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 31, 2018 – ZwillGen welcomes longtime friend of the firm and former Oath/Yahoo attorney, Chris Madsen, to ZwillGen as Counsel and Managing Director for ZG Subpoena Solutions (ZGSS).

Chris joins ZwillGen after more than a decade working on law enforcement and security matters in government and in-house at Oath/Yahoo, most recently as Vice President & Chief Counsel for Global Law Enforcement, Security and Safety. While at Oath/Yahoo, Chris led the legal teams responsible for formulation and implementation of law enforcement, data security, and content moderation policies and gained first-hand experience with a panoply of legal and policy issues that companies face with respect to law enforcement, data breaches, and user-generated content.

Chris said, “I am excited to work with ZwillGen and ZGSS to bring innovative solutions to clients that have to respond to government and third-party demands for data. Companies have to adapt to changes in demands for user data, in volume and in type, and keep up with frequently changing law and industry practice. ZG and ZGSS are leaders in this area, with deep experience and connections. I look forward to building on this foundation and adding my own in-house experience to help clients stay on top of these important issues.”

ZwillGen Founder, Marc Zwillinger, stated, “Chris brings valuable perspective and insight gained from years of in-house experience and at the Department of Justice. He has a deep understanding of how to navigate nuanced legal and policy issues, particularly with respect to law enforcement matters. We are very lucky to have him help lead ZGSS.”
