Licensing Analysts – ZG Gaming Solutions

ZG Gaming Solutions, a newly-created affiliate of ZwillGen PLLC, is looking for Licensing Analysts who are hungry for a challenge and ready to support the growth of our company.

ZG Gaming Solutions (ZGG) is designed to help gaming operators and vendors manage their unique regulatory licensing demands. ZGG is building a robust, scalable technology-enabled licensing management program to support clients’ growing needs. We are looking for motivated individuals eager to build the company’s operational capacity and facilitate its expansion into new offerings.

We are looking for Licensing Analysts who will work collaboratively with managers, other analysts, and attorneys to design and implement regulatory licensing solutions for our clients in the sports betting, online gaming, and fantasy sports industries. As a startup company, we expect specific job tasks to evolve significantly over time, but will likely include the preparation of licensing application forms for both individuals and corporate entities, analysis of financial and business documentation in support of licensing investigations conducted by gaming regulators, and coordinating the execution of other key application requirements with license applicants.  We expect the responsibilities and opportunities for someone this role will grow over time, shaped by our clients’ needs as well as the skillset and interests of our hires.

This position requires an energetic, curious person who is comfortable jumping into different projects and learning new tools without significant formal training. Attention to detail and taking responsibility for the quality of work are critical, given that our work product undergoes careful scrutiny by government regulators and is material to our clients’ businesses.  The technology-centric nature of our clients and work requires comfort with software/web applications and the ability to self-teach and explore new tools, although prior gaming licensing experience is not required.  The role also requires polished verbal and written communication skills and sound judgment, as projects may require working directly with client executives and attorneys.  The ability to work independently while managing multiple projects under rigid time constraints is a must.

Job Requirements

    • College degree, with at least 1 year prior experience in administration, project management or other relevant areas
    • Must be able to work out of one of ZwillGen’s existing offices*
    • Ability to work standard business hours with some flexibility for overtime, as necessary
    • Strong organizational, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to learn new technologies and processes, with willingness to experiment and self-teach
    • Possess strong attention to detail
    • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Outlook, Word, and web applications
    • Prior experience in the legal field or a government agency is preferred but not required

*Washington, DC / New York / San Francisco / Chicago – starting remote with future plans to relocate is okay.

Essential Job Functions

    • Draft forms, and communicate with individual applicants in connection with regulatory licensing applications
    • Prepare applicant requirement lists and regulatory summary sheets for background investigations
    • Maintain relationships with notary and fingerprinting vendors; schedule appointments with individual applicants as necessary
    • Analyze organizational and corporate details to assist in completing and filing entity applications
    • Research regulatory requirements for licensing by state, ranging from broad guidelines to specific instructions
    • Participate in the development and ongoing improvement of our internal protocols and systems for managing license application workflows
